Abstract

 The impact resistance of composite laminates is an important reference for the design of composite structures. In this paper, based on ABAQUS software In this paper, based on ABAQUS software and numerical simulation, the influence of the position of the 0° ply on the impact resistance of Carbon Fibre Reinforced Plastics(CFRP) laminates with symmetrical ply design is analyzed. The results show that the protection performance of the 0° ply is the worst when it is located in the middle and outermost layers. In the layup design, the strength of the symmetrical side can be reduced to 0°. The results show that the protection performance of the 0° ply is the worst when it is located in the middle and outermost layers.
