Abstract

To align with the essential demands of expressway operational and maintenance management in the contemporary era, this paper advocates refining the monitoring standards for distinct highway segments and enhancing the operational efficiency of the expressway monitoring system. It introduces the concept of stability in traffic conditions, particularly focusing on overtaking frequency, speed differentials, and traffic fluctuations at entry and exit points. Furthermore, by employing entropy method and global Moran index, the paper establishes a grading detection approach for expressways, thereby laying a solid foundation for optimizing monitoring strategies and bolstering road safety.
