Research on the Structural Characteristics of TMT Shared Mental Model Based on Team Life Cycle

The data analysis was conducted on a sample of 125 TMTs, selecting the shared mental models of high-performance enterprise TMTs as the research subject. From the perspective of the team life cycle,it verified that there are significant differences in the structure of TMT shared mental models at different stages of the life cycle. Moreover, the structural characteristics of the TMT shared mental models are mainly manifested as general Task-SMM and lower Team-SMM in the Formation period, lower Task-SMM and average Team-SMM in the Oscillation period, average Task-SMM and higher Team-SMM in the Standardization period, and higher Task-SMM with very high Team-SMM in the Execution period. Finally, corresponding suggestions were put forward for nurturing the life cycle stage characteristics based on high-performance TMT shared mental models.
