Global influence of French food culture and reflection on Sino-French food exchange

This paper discusses the core characteristics, global influence and comparison with other cultures of Western food culture, especially French food culture. By analyzing the historical origins, culinary characteristics, and global spread and acceptance of French food culture, this paper reveals the key factors of its success and the challenges it brings. In particular, it shows the phenomenon of Sino-French food exchange and fusion through specific cases, and probes into the role of food as a bridge of cultural exchange. Finally, this paper puts forward the direction of future research, suggesting to pay attention to the possibility of further fusion of Chinese and French cuisine, and how to promote cross-cultural communication and understanding through cuisine.
